12 things high school students should know...specially seniors
1. Life is not fair. Get used to it.
2. The world wont care about your self-esteem as much as your school and your parents do. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you feel good about youself.
3. You will NOT make $40,000 a year right our of high school. You wont be a vice president witha car phone until you earn both
4. If you think you teach is rough, wait till you get a boss.
5. Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your gradparents has a differnt word for burger-flipping and less glamorous jobs. They called it "opportunity".
6. If you screw up, its not your parents fault. So dont whine about you mistakes; lean from them.
7. Befdor you were born, you perents werent as boring as they are now. They got taht way paying your bills, cleaning your room, and listeing to you tell them how idealisic you are
8. Life is no divided into semesters. You dont get summrs off and very few employers are intrested in helping you "find yourself"; do that on your own time
9. Television is no real life. In real life, people actually have to leave to coffee shope and go get jobs.
10. Be nice to nerds; chaces areyou'll end up working for nerds
11. Smoking does not make you look "cool"; it now puts you out in the cold! Ditto for pupple hair and pierced body parts
12. Living fast and dying young is romantic--only until you see one of your peers at room temperature
